A Little Bit of Housekeeping.

A Little Bit of Housekeeping.

From time to time it’s good to do a general update. For those of you who do know, don’t know or just generally have been wondering, I run more than one blog.

My original blog is called Earth and Sky, and I do not update it very often anymore. The title was halfway inspired by the music of the late Rick Mullins. The Blog itself came from a bit of encouragement from a magazine editor. This blog is several years old, with many, many posts. So if you wish to see how writing can change (and hopefully improve) over time then I suggest you check out Earth and Sky.

Substack is the newest adventure, and it has been an enjoyable ride so far. Of all three blogs, it produces the most traffic. Lord willing at some point I will be able to upgrade this account and provide more for the readers. All in all, I generally keep the Substack blogs more light-hearted, with dips into general help for other authors. Subscription as you may know is easy on Substack, but I am hesitant to say, “Please consider” becoming a financial supporter in this day and age when we are all struggling.

Breadstone Blog is the main website for our small, struggling Christian publishing company. Both Ian Winslow and I share the blog area. (sorry Eva wanted to take a break and step away) We generally have more serious topics including the prophetic and trends in the world and the Body of Christ. And sometimes we lose subscribers because we are not pulling any punches.

Breadstone is also the place where we are selling books. Not willing to go into debt to get things published, we publish at the speed of the resources given. A few people have used the Donate on the website, and that has been a blessing. But generally, we do prefer that you get “something back.” Currently, we have…

My Fathers House, I wrote this book after the Holy Spirit stopped me at work one day and told me that I was going to be writing a book exposing the Babylonian Spirit. At the very moment he said this I realized that for the last couple of nights, I had been having an ongoing conversation with somebody in my dreams. I caught me so off guard that I had to stop everything I was doing as the reality sunk in, whether I knew it or not. I had everything inside of me deposited to write this book. This became obvious as I started because I woke up to the reality that the last 30-plus years of being a Christian had prepared me for this.

The next book is a Christian Science Fiction called “Fading Starlight.” It is the first in a long series of books for what is called the “Legacy Continuum.” It’s set in the present day with many family issues that need to be worked out while the world is getting secretly attacked by Aliens. One person I know who loves science fiction described it as a classic old-fashioned science fiction. And many have given it to their kids to read as they realize that this is a family-friendly book. So please consider this book during the holiday season.

Fading Starlight also has a set of questions in the back of the book, there is a reason for this. These are questions designed to ask yourself and those around you. To sum them up, “If aliens suddenly arrived on Earth, how would that affect your faith in Jesus Christ?”

These are not the only products on the website, as we do have PDF downloads of our previous BCM magazine at dirt-cheap prices. These cover a LOT of different topics on many assorted categories, written by an assortment of authors.

The majority of graphics were done by myself as well as some of the layouts, others were done by Eva Kimble who sometimes filled in as a badly needed proofreader and story author.
